Hero of Kosova, Enver Zymeri depicted on postage stamp

Post of Kosova Philately has released a new edition of postage stamps titled “Hero of the Nation-Enver Zymeri”, and officially opened the exhibition of postage stamps launched during the period from 2000-2011.

Enver Zymeri was born on April 3, 1979 in the Dubovc village of Vushtrri. He has been a member of KLA, soldier of the brigade 138 “Agim Ramadani”. He joined Kosova Police in 2000, as part of the tenth generation.

Hence it is appropriate that the new edition of postage stamp be dedicated to Enver Zymeri, the police officer who was sacrificed his life in establishing law and order.

“As of today, Enver Zymeri has another job, that of the honorable ambassador, wherein, through the postage stamp, he will represent the Republic of Kosova throughout the world,” said Blerim Krasniqi, Post of Kosova Director, at the ceremony in this case.

On his side, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Kosova stated that the release into circulation of the postage stamp dedicated to the Hero of Kosova, Enver Zymeri, proves that his work and dedication have made him eternal, by recalling the act of his sacrifice and heroism.

“The postage stamp launched by the PTK in honor of Hero of Kosova Enver Zymeri on the occasion of five-month anniversary after his fall in the line of duty, proves that the work of police officers is respected and appreciated by all of us,” said Bajram Rexhepi.

The father of Hero of Kosova acknowledged that release of this postage stamp by the PTK is a great honor for his son, to commemorate his dedication and loyalty to law and order.

“There is no greater honor to my son than this today, while this is not only an honor for our family, but for all members of the Kosova Police,” said Muharrem Zymeri, the father of Hero of Kosova.

Acting CEO of PTK has awarded to the father of Hero of Kosova the postage stamp printed in silver, underlining the fact that this symbolic recognition represents gratitude and respect of the PTK to the hero and his doing.

“This postage stamp is a symbol of patriotism that an immortal hero as Enver Zymeri showed while carrying out his official duty,” said Nuredin Krasniqi, upon awarding the framed stamp to the Kosova Police Director, Shpend Maxhuni.

At the same time, on Friday, Post of Kosova Philately presented its 11-year activity, wherein through images of postage stamps, it has given an outstanding contribution in promotion of the Republic of Kosova, our cultural and historical heritage, prominent personalities, achievements and natural beauties.
